Steve Borger

Steve has in excess of 35 years in the Building and Construction Industry.

His professional career includes employment as a Building Surveyor in the local government areas of Woollahara, Gold Coast and Tweed.

Steve also has extensive experience in the Private Sector from employment as a Project Home Building Supervisor, in addition to his time with Stockland Development where he managed the Covenant and Design Assessment process and also implemented Stockland’s extensive Seed Housing Program across Queensland in his position of Project Manager – Housing.

After 15 years working as a Registered Building Certifier in his own business, Steve has stepped away from certification, to now provide a NSW Planning Portal lodgement service for his clients.  His other expertise enables the preparation of BASIX Energy Assessments,  Demolition and Construction Management Plans for a full range of projects.

Steve’s local knowledge of the Tweed & Gold Coast is extensive, and this has enabled him to form an invaluable network of consultants who he can confidently recommend to work on your project to ensure it receives the attention it deserves.

Sharyn Borger

Sharyn holds a Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Planning) from Charles Sturt University and began her planning career in 1988 with Coffs Harbour Council.

She has over 35 years experience as a Town Planner in northern New South Wales and southern Queensland, which includes employment as a Development Control Planner and Subdivision Planner at Tweed Shire Council and Gold Coast City Council in the Strategic Planning Division. Sharyn moved to the private sector in 2004, where she worked as a Town Planner for various Planning Consultancies in Northern New South Wales.

Since 2007 Sharyn has been working as the Principal Town Planner at Apex Building & Development Consultants. Her role concentrates on providing Town Planning advice and preparing Development Applications within the Northern New South Wales, particularly for residential developments in the local government areas of Tweed, Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Kyogle and Coffs Harbour.

Sharyn has extensive knowledge of the planning requirements within Council’s Development Control Plans for residential developments, thereby enabling Sharyn to manage Town Planning Development applications efficiently and effectively and co-ordinate approvals for a wide range of projects.
